Roadmap to Junior Golf
This roadmap is a suggested outline of how junior golfers should proceed during the beginning of their junior golf journeys. Junior golfers do not have to follow this roadmap thoroughly as everyone is different and has his or her own interests, but it has been proven that proceeding as shown in the roadmap has a positive impact in developing junior golfers.

1. First Tee Idaho
Welcome to the game of golf! The First Tee will introduce your to golf. They enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, creating learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything that they do. The First Tee doesn't just build golfers, it builds Game Changers.

2. PGA Junior League
PGA Jr. League is a game-changing opportunity for boys and girls to learn and play golf. The program brings family and friends together around fun, team golf experiences with expert coaching from PGA and LPGA Professionals. #GameChanger

3. U.S. Kids Golf
U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours are created to provide boys and girls, age 5-18, the opportunity to advance their skills in the game in age-appropriate competition without having to take the time and incur the costs of having to travel long distances. A Local Tour consists of between six and eight one-day tournaments including a season-ending one-day Local Tour Championship. ​

4. Idaho Junior Tour
The purpose of the Idaho Junior Tour is to promote junior golf participation and competition for boys and girls form the ages of eight to eighteen. The Idaho Juinor Tour is dedicated to providing golfers with the opportunity of playing golf competitively while applying The Rules of Golf, practicing proper golf course etiquette and encouraging and developing sportsmanlike conduct. ​

5. American Junior Golf Association (AJGA)
The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. ​
​
Since 1978, the American Junior Golf Association has been devoted to conducting national junior golf tournaments at the highest level of junior golf. The AJGA conducts tournaments annually for young players, ages 12-19. At each event, the AJGA seeks to live up to its mission statement by providing a first-class venue, professional staff an a safe environment.
